
Casper Klynge
Since September 2017, Casper Klynge has served as Denmark’s & the world’s first Tech Ambassador. His mandate is to engage in a direct and frank dialogue with multinational tech companies, other governments, investors, universities and multilateral institutions in order to take on both opportunities and risks of emerging technologies. Based out of Silicon Valley, Casper has a global mandate with parts of his team in Copenhagen and Beijing. Before leading Denmark’s Tech representation, Casper served as Ambassador to Indonesia, Timor Leste, Papua New Guinea & ASEAN (2014-2017) and to the Republic of Cyprus (2013-2014). Casper has also served in Afghanistan (2010-2011) and as Head of the European Union’s civilian crisis management mission in Kosovo (2006-2008) besides several positions in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Copenhagen. Casper holds a M.Sc. in Political Science, and is a 2009 Marshall Memorial Fellow.
