Emily Slota is the founder of Liquid Financial Services (www.liquid.com.gh) a fintech company dedicated to expanding access to financial services across West Africa.
Emily is a professional with over 10 years of experience across the US and West Africa. She spent 7 years at McKinsey & Company, where she led fintech work in Africa, focusing on banking and telecom companies and how they could use technology to drive strategic and operational improvement.
Prior to McKinsey, Emily worked at PayPal in Silicon Valley, focusing on emerging markets entry strategy. She has also led a variety of strategy roles including in tech startups, the US government and a non-profit. Emily holds a dual degree in Economics and Human Biology from Stanford University, an MBA from Harvard Business School, and an MPA-ID from the Harvard Kennedy School. She lives in Ghana with her husband and 1 year old daughter.
