A creative storyteller, with experience as a film producer, TV Host, Reporter, Writer and Public Speaker.
Ivy relocated to Ghana from Canada to be on the pulse of what’s happening in the emerging markets of Africa. She’s available to create content for those outside the continent seeking information on trends and what’s happening on the ground level. She published an e-book, “Your Essential Guide on Moving to Ghana,” as a response to the many people who seek her out for information about moving to and living in Ghana.
Leveraged a passion for empowering women and girls to become a motivational speaker delivering keynotes at schools, events and for non-profit organizations. This led to becoming a maternal health advocate and being the Host and Roving Reporter for the Maternal Health Channel Television Series. Commissioned by the Netherlands government, the program aimed to support the UN Millennium Development Goal 5, which aimed to reduce maternal morality by 75% before the year 2015.
Nominated as Host of the Year,by the RTP Awards in Ghana, for her work in the documentary series, she continues to spread knowledge about the issues affecting maternal health in Ghana and around the world, including being on a panel sponsored by Merck For Mothers discussing ending maternal mortality at the Women in The World conference in New York.
A lifelong love for fashion includes supporting and promoting the African fashion industry. She was the International Liaison for Ghana Fashion & Design Week’s first edition in 2012. The event was sponsored by Vogue Italia and Moet. Ivy continues to cover African fashion through her writing and has been the MC at the African Fashion Industry Awards in Toronto, Canada.
